    Earlier Guru3d revealed some details about Intel's upcoming Core i7-3960X line of processors; the i7 2700 Sandy Bridge E and X79 platform. Its set to be released this November. So far performance wise Intel's first Generation i7's based on the X58 platform has been the biggest competitor to Sandy Bridge; while most users who are still on the X58 platform and looking for higher performance, a 6 Core i7 970X/980X/990X would have been the perfect upgrade over a 4 core i7 2600K, but it seems those days are now numbered. As the preview goes into more detail and talks about the Sandy Bridge E Processor having 6 Cores, all running at 5GHz.
