No Meraj, PhysX is nVidia only..
.. You can however let your CPU handel the PhysX code, but since you have a Dual Core CPU, that probably will hinder your game performence's and you will see a lot of lag...you could also add a midrange nVidia card to your setup and let that run hybrid PhysX with hacked drivers, I have done that before and its a lot of hassle. But remember the faster your primiray graphics renderer, the faster Physx card you need to process the calculations and basically "keep up" with it. eg. with my GTX 480's I use a GTX460 for PhysX. That would be more than enough for anybody. For your HD4870 I would say a 9600GT would be fine.

So Whats up with ATI? Why People Buy ATI for? Lame........
and btw. PhysX is Just a Code. Why is it so hard for ATI to develope such a Code?

Well Meraj, ATi/AMD is somewhat cheap, and gets he Job done, more like their processors. They aren't bad, but they wont outperform Intel or nVidia....I just dont see the point since the price difference of their graphics cards lineup aren't that far off the nVidia lineup to make a significant difference to my wallet. People still buy them for the same reason some people bought the AMD's so called Bulldozer BallDozer, that with its 8 cores that cant even out perform Intel's 4 Core 3 year old i7 1366 line. Its some American BS about supporting the underdog, and the guy with more bank balance and influnce is supposedly "bad". More of Dante's BS.....hmmm.. I wonder whatever happened to that poor little guy
..he always reminded me of someone....

Yes PhysX is a code, but its designed to only efficiently run on the Architecture found in nVidia's Stream Processors (now more popularly called Cuda Cores)..Good news is PhysX has been since re written so gamers like you can try to run it on modern processors and not get much lag. AMD has its own Code btw..a free one called Havock...it still produces very good effects and found in many "not so exclusive games" since it doesn't yet provide the better particle effects. Some game engines like Cryengine 2 and Frostbite 2 I think uses their own built in engine Physics effect processor. Why dont you download the Latest nVidia Drivers and Install them, From the nVidia Control Panel Set the CPU as the Physx Processor. See how that works for you.
And Meraj, didn't you get the memo, ATi Doesn't Exist..Its all about AMD now
You are holding on to a card that belongs to the very last line up of cards that were Branded ATi.

AMD's new 7xxx series will feature GPGPU or something like that which will be the AMD's PhysX as they said......

hmmm..no no..they already have that, for the last 6 or more years. Its called Havoc..Nothing Premium. Why else do you think so many ATi/AMD users have a dedicated nVidia card to run Hybrid PhysX with their cards..
GPGPU = As far as I can tell its the basic concept of doing certain calculations on the GPU, eg. Physics processing unit.
Physx / Havoc = The Code / Process itself, two different designs of a Physics engine, based on the above concept.
PhysX Seems to be featured exclusively in some games, while many consider Havoc to be quite outdated since Havoc FX was canceled by Intel; but I think it still can produce good effects and its still used in many games to cut down on the licensing etc.. costs of using PhysX. However I havent heard any official word on if AMD is ditching Havoc and introducing a exclusive PhysX like competitor, but since AMD is coming up with a completely new architecture with the 7000 series that is different from all their previous cards, and even though I have doubts, its best to wait a see.
Let your CPU do the PhysX, Meraj. Just O.C. it close to 3GHz; Sure it wont be very impressive as having a dedicated nVidia PhysX Engine, but hey I know you will like it kiddo....
