    Want to upgrade my net:)

    Hello fellas,
I'm busy with my annual exam that's why I'm not active. I'll be gone to my village then where there's no net connection.

    Anyway,
I was dying try to upload a 50 MB video in youtube. Gave 3 hours and it wasn't finished uploading. Maybe that's because my 128 KBPS banglalion wimax package. My download rate's about 18-20 kb/second. So I wanna upgrade my current package. Which one should I choose? 512 KBPS or 1 MBPS? I'll try whichever lets me upload quickly. So what do you suggest? And The King*** thing means unlimited right?

    capture.png

And tell me how to upgrade it please!
    THANKS!

Arifeen, I think 512Kbps Would be good for you, the download / upload speed should satisfy you from your current 128Kbps line and since it also costs less and gives you more bandwidth..

I dont know much about the internet in BD, so you will have to wait till someone more experienced can help you out. But I would say you should get the Safari 14(14GB) or the Safari 25(25GB). Just remember and ask yourself, if you are really going to download 10GB+ every month?? Even if you do some heavy browsing, and download upload a lot of things then 25GB should be enough for your household.

By the way, nothing really is *unlimited*, Arifeen. They would let you use it more that the 25GB plans, lets say maybe 50GB or something reasonable, but after you exceed a certain reasonable limit and start using too much, they would cut you back or slow you down or something. Along with many things, the internet is very substandard in NZ ...I used to be on a unlimited plan for my home, no limits what so ever..it would cost me $600 something a month but I later realized that I never exceeded 40GB ~ 50GB usage..So then I switched to one of the regular plans from Telicom..I think now I get 60GB for around $100.... Not too shabby, eh?

Thanks for stopping by to give your valuable advises. I don't really download that much. All I do is play RuneScape 3/4 hours a day and my younger brother plays Sherwood Dungeon for 3 hours a day. Sometimes I download. I'm wishing to upload a lot of youtube videos because I work on a gaming site project with my world mates where we do online gaming videos. I was selected as the admin of RuneScape section there so I've gotta do RuneScape videos and upload 'em. That's why I need a faster internet to upload videos in a short period of times. Do you think I use 14 GB a Month? I don't wanna risk so I want something that'd cover if I do a lot of downloading sometimes. I'd say Voyage 14 or Voyage 25...
Don't forget to suggest me how would I change my package also...
    Waiting for Meraj's Bhais suggestions...
    THANKS..

Maybe Arnab or Meraj can give you some advice and help with the rest of the technical information, but Arifeen, I think you should save up the costs and pick something from the safari range, 512Kbps should be somewhat 3 ~ 4 times faster than your current 128Kbps line You should be able to change the plans once every month, so I think you should try the Safari 14 first, and if you still feel like you need more then upgrade again to the Safari King next month

This connection, its the one that comes with that wireless modem right? so you can take the modem and your laptop to your village too and use internet to say hello to us from there...

Well, I'll take my lappy and modem but even mobile network reaches hardly there. It will may not work. I saw "banglalion wimax's network reached map", It has reached till "Kalkini Bazaar" but my grandpa's house is a lot insider than that...
So I'll try grameenphone net package from my mobile to lappy if it fails. Means, I'll try my best for net connection there

    Anyway,
How would I change it? Talk to the dealers or call the customer care center?

Arifeen, Why dont you give their customer service center a call this morning and you know, explain your situation..tell them you want to upgrade to the the Safari 14 package, understand all their terms correctly and make sure if you upgrade now you can use untill next month's(year) Jan 8th. I hope Meraj or Arnab can come in and give you some first hand advice from their experience, since I'm pretty sure at one point they used Banglalion(?) or at least should know enough to help you out.

and dont forget to ask them all your questions, like how far will it reach etc, you should also look into other plans incase they offer better prices / service / coverage

These No Good WiMax Company gula Upload Speed Ordhek kore rakhe. So if you get 20KB DL Speed then you'll get 10KB Upload speed (Thats why 50 MB Upload took forever). 512 te tumi DL Speed paba 70KB. So Up Speed paba 35KB. Cholbe? Nahole 1MBps o nite paro jodi 70KBps Upload Speed Chaw.

And About Package Change. Not So Fast. you Gotta Give connection Charge Before you can Upgrade. And Connection Charge is Probably Around 1300 TK.

Btw. My Connection is 256 King.
