hey, meraj, good idea! I could suspend the card with some bicycle break wire couldn't I?

@Dante, bhi, the card had some heatsink from zalman that I took off... there is no replacement for displacement.. the heatsink I am using is from a CPU, it should be able to keep the card 20 C -25 C at ideal..I dont know of any zamlan thats 1/4 the size that can do that... the more surface area the better the heat transfer and cooling...besides bigger is better

oh yeah Zaid vai, u pretty much wrecked the casing.i'm serious. i'm sure there was a better way.

If that Heatsink is Touching the Floor then why need a Holder? i dun get it.......

Look at the side of that heatsink. it can calm down a volcano............

Its not touching the floor Meraj, there is a 0.5" gap between it and the floor, we can not let it touch the floor, that'd risk the card getting damaged.

Zaidi, ami sure nah...At this stage I don't know what else I have to do to get this to work, or if its just my design flaw, I am using metal screws but I am sure its not interfering with the PCB main path's layout / design..

I went through 2 high end cards under a month doing this bloody mod, (3 if you count my unsuccessful volt mod).. When the card broke maybe was a fault at my side but this second gigabyte card was the worst experience, I never tested it previously and it gave me a whole lot of problems with post, let alone booting up..and finally the POS died out, Maybe gigabyte is a bad manufacturer nowadays or maybe it was a bad card to begin with..? who gives a crap...I will get another card and try one more time and then I'll call it off..

Keep your fingers crossed people...

You can use one of those big server casings to feat the big server size heat sink.
