Need for speed The Run Problem

    Hi TG,
I've recently bought NFS RUN by IT NEXT. It's a 3 DVD PC version. I Installed as how "readme" file said. But after installation game doesn't run. While I open game app file a black screen appears and then say "Windows has stopped working". I'm dying to play RuN. I tried by turning anti-virus off but nothing helped. Can anybody please help me with it?
    THANKS!

I haven't played this game myself, but from what I can dig up, this seems to be a problem with some of the game files missing or a bad patch causing compatibility issues, you are playing it on your laptop right?hmm..Give it a few days Arifeen.. somebody here will have a fix..until then, play something else .. haven't seen you in a while Arifeen, been too busy with all the new computer games, now have you?

anybody else here played this game yet? how is it by the way? I saw some mixed reviews about it..

okkk now Forget DVD Readme N Follow My Readme.....

    1st Copy 3 DVD's under same folder & Unzip...
Now check the folder that contains unzipped files there are 2 files in it among them one is "FreeArc installer" install this program....
Now Turn Antivirus & Restart PC & open another file using freearc....Click on extract...browse desired Location & Extract....
Now after extraction done copy fix & Crack to the installed game folder.....Strongly recommended here to turn off your Antivirus & Internet connection....
Now Right Click on "fix" & run it as administrator.....
Now turn on game okk itz done...BTW Remember u must have latest Graphics Driver installed+Antivirus turned off while playing this one.....

Zaidi bhai, still can't run with the patch
Zaid bhai, Yes trying on my laptop Was busy with school and of course a bit with games thanks

GM bhai, Here is what I did,
First "paused protection" of Kasper-sky and turned Net connection off. Unzipped the 10 files on a same folder, installed freearc and restarted pc. Then extracted NFS RUN file. Copied fix and other files in CRACK folder and replaced over game dir. Right clicked on "FIX" and did choose run as administrator. Then opened RUN game app. Sadly the game still doesn't run It shows "NFS LOGO" moving at the above right corner of the monitor then say stopped working. Still can't play I probably missed something or did something wrong...

I guess I have latest graphics driver installed cuz I tried splinter cell conviction, Harry potter and the deathly hallows 2, Tintin and the secret of the unicorn etc without any problem and in Highest quality. I just wanna try RUN.
    THANKS!

^^ The latest Microsoft Dot Net Framework for Win 7 or XP(whichever you are using) + The Latest Direct X 11 should be all you need. Direct X 9 wont be running that many new games anymore, at least not properly and the way they are meant to run. You laptop has all the latest and good hardware. Your Graphics card is pretty good and upto date too. Whats important is that you make sure you got your Drivers, and Required Software's such as DirectX updated, other wise you are just wasting your hardware capability trying to run a native Direct X11 game on 8 Year old Direct X 9 Technology...

    good luck Arifeen

Zaid bhai, I've updated my directx and .net framework to the latest. But still this darn game's not working! I got no idea what to do to run it! What exactly to do with "fix" file? Just opening it?

It's saying a new thing now. Says Directx problem, intel HD graphics family problem etc....What to do to update graphics driver?
I'm playing Battlefield 3 without no problem right now but what's with RUN?

Is there any life without a gaming/computer life? My Answer Will Always Be "NO!"

NFS The Run Needs 3 GB Ram to run the game. (according to Wikipedia)
I can see u have 2 GB. So that maybe the Problem?

    Your Rig:
    Processor: Intel(R) pentium(R)4 CPU 3.00 GHz 3.00 GHz
    RAM: 2 GB
Graphics Card(s): 512 MB. (whats the GPU?)
    Speakers: MICROLAB
    Keyboard: A4TECH
    Mouse: A4TECH
    Operating System(s): Windows 7, 32 Bit.

    The Run at least Needs:
    Processor: Dual Core
    RAM: 3 GB
Graphics Card(s): 512 MB ATI HD 4870 (my gpu )

Guys, Guys..He's not playing it in his PC, he's Playing it on his New Laptop. Its a i7 laptop with Good Graphics if I remember right..Remember the Sony Laptop he showed you a few months ago? ..So its not the PC configuration thats the problem, its most likely something to do with the game files or a driver or other software side configuration issue

@Arifeen ... let me have a look, others might be having the same problem as you. Let me see if I can find any solutions similar to your problems..meanwhile list all of the problems for us and all your PC configurations once more..
..these are the problems one faces with the so called intel's integrated "graphics"...

Hey Arifeen, you are running a Sony VAIO VPCEH17FX/B, right?Well, I have updated your Rig information for you, so it's easier next time for other people when you have issues and they want to know your computer specifications.

Anyhow, Listen..you got the Intel HD3000 Graphics, not too shabby but should do the job..
First lets make sure you got the latest graphics drivers installed..Download it from here -
Download: Intel HD3000 Graphics Drivers For Windows 7 64Bit* - Intel Download Center
..its around 80MB give or take..Install it

Now, are you 100% sure that your direct x and .net framework are up to date?
Check if you have the latest Direct X 11 Installed,.. if not then i think you can download DX11 from here - Download: DirectX 11 Technology Update - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

And you can get the standalone 50MB installer of Microsoft .NET Framework 4 for Win 7 from here ..
Download: Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Standalone Installer) - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details

there is one other thing, if you have a antivirus / firewall's, then see that they are not interfering with NFS: Run, Maybe turn it off..See if that works for you, while I look into other solutions..

Also look into getting Win 7 Ultimate Instead, these Home Premium and blah blah versions make no sense, and usually cause a lot of issues. I really hate Microsoft for this ridiculous move, once we had Windows XP Home and Professional and now we got at least 10 different versions for Visa and Windows 7. Pathetic..

  18. Thanks zaidibd14, Arifeen thanked for this post
